BC MOTORCYCLE ENTHUSIASTS PREPARE FOR A STRONG 2015 SEASON

OVER 31,000 ATTEND 2015 MOTORCYCLE SHOW – VANCOUVER

VANCOUVER, B.C. – The 2015 Vancouver International Motorcycle Show, presented by Dalton Timmis Insurance, was a strong indicator that the industry in British Columbia continues to thrive. Despite significant rain across two of the event’s three days, enthusiasts turned out in force to the event, the 34th annual Motorcycle Show in BC.

In total, the event drew 31,768 enthusiasts to see the three-day manufacturers’ showcase.

“Not only did we see a strong attendance to launch the 2015 motorcycling season in British Columbia, exhibitors reported some of the strongest sales figures in years,” said Show Manager Laurie Paetz. “All weekend long, fans of the sport were incredibly excited to see all of the extraordinary models and amazing performances at this years show.”

The event featured hundreds of new motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, and more; motorcycle stunts by Team Empire and ATV stunts by Bill Hitchon; demonstrations from the Pacific Coast Mini Road Racing Association and the Canadian Pacific Trials Association; the Yamaha Riding Academy for Kids and Yamaha “How-To” learning sessions; appearances by seven-time land speed record holder, Valerie Thompson and three-time Canadian National MX1 Champion, Colton Facciotti; and so much more.

Two lucky fans also went home with brand new motorcycles. A 2015 Kawasaki Ninja EX300, courtesy of Canadian Kawasaki and your local Kawasaki dealers was drawn on Friday as a part of SHE Rides Night, and the grand prize – a 2015 Triumph Bonneville Newchurch Commemorative Special Edition motorcycle was drawn on Sunday.

Produced by Power Sport Services, the Motorcycle Show – Vancouver features some of the biggest names in motorcycle production, including BMW Motorrad, BRP, Deeley Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Polaris, Suzuki, Triumph, Victory, Yamaha and many more.
