Moncton, NB (February, 2016) – Clear skies led to a successful Motorcycle & ATV Show – Moncton with overall attendance up 9.5% from 2015. The event was presented by Dalton Timmis Insurance February 12_14 at the Moncton Coliseum.
“I was very happy with the show and crowds this year after three years of heavy snow on the Sunday,” said show manager Neil Fardy. “This year’s show will lead to a strong resurgence for both exhibit sales and attendance in the years to come. It really shows the growing motorcycle and OHV (off highway vehicle) business opportunities in the Atlantic region.”
The show started off with a bang Friday, thanks in large part to an exciting She Rides Nite. The donation of a 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 300 by Canadian Kawasaki and G. Bourque Ltd., of Dieppe, as a grand prize, contributed to an increase in attendance of 18% over the previous year. Sharon Smith, of Moncton, was the lucky winner of the live draw for the Ninja motorcycle on Friday evening.
The Trials demonstrations, by the talented Belanger Family and the ATAQ, wowed the crowds daily with their precision handling and entertaining demonstrations over the weekend. Clinton Smout’s “How To” seminars continued to be a fan favourite, demonstrating riding safety and tips for all types of riders. The always popular Yamaha Riding Academy, was busy all weekend long, giving kids 6 to 12 years old an opportunity to ride a mini bike. For most, this was their first time riding.
