CALGARY, AB (January 23) – The Motorcycle Show – Calgary presented by Dalton Timmis Insurance took place January 6-8, 2017 at the BMO Centre, Stampede Park. It was the first stop on a seven city Canadian tour.

“Despite frigid low temperatures and the highest unemployment rate in 23 years, two, three and four wheel modes of transportation and recreation are ever-popular among Southern Albertans,” says Laurie Paetz, Show Manager, “ over 25,000 made their way to the recent Motorcycle Show – Calgary to check out all the new models, apparel and gear.”

She Rides kicked off the festivities on Friday, January 6th. The highlight of the evening was the draw for the brand new Ninja 300 courtesy of Blackfoot Motosports and Canadian Kawasaki Motors. Susana from Calgary draw the key that ultimately started the Ninja 300. Susana is eagerly awaiting the 2017 riding season so she can road test her new ride.

Children along with their parents flocked to the Yamaha Riding Academy to participate in sessions to learn to off-road ride, while many of their parents took in “How to Sessions” conducted by professional instructor Clinton Smout. He shed light on how to maneuver through common situations and provided audiences with helpful techniques to deal with common situations like picking up a fallen bike and proper braking techniques when riding on loose gravel.

The Ground n’ Gravity Show highlighted three disciplines of riding including Observed Trials, MX Freestyle and stunt riding. In addition to the Pros the Show featured four up and comers all under the age of six. The 30 minute show had many on the edge of their seats and proved to be one of the highlights for those who took it in.
