OVER 33,000 ATTEND DREAM WEEKEND FOR B.C. BIKE ENTHUSIASTS

VANCOUVER, B.C. – The Vancouver Motorcycle Show, British Columbia’s premier motorcycle manufacturers’ showcase, returned to Abbotsford’s Tradex January 24 to 26, 2014 for another successful year. Sunshine, hot rides, and show-stopping performances drew over 33,118 enthusiasts out to the three-day event, up from 2013’s 32,763 attendees.

This year’s show featured performances by Canada’s top Superbike and Trials competitor, Jordan Szoke; Team Empire’s Ernie Vigil and Nick Brocha performed their amazing freestyle stunt show; and the Yamaha Riding Academy for Kids allowed youngsters ages 6-12 a chance to test out a Yamaha TT-R off-road motorcycle. SHE Rides Night on Friday offered a half-price entrance fee for ladies, featured special demos and events for female riders and included a ladies-only giveaway of a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja EX300, provided by Canadian Kawasaki, Big Top Powersports, Burnaby Kawasaki, Holeshot Motorsports, and Maple Ridge Motorsports.

“The Vancouver Motorcycle Show was a great success this year. The sunny weekend weather was a bonus,” said Show Manager Laurie Paetz. “Saturday and Sunday saw large crowds, and a number of people took advantage of the sunshine to enjoy free motorcycle parking at Tradex all weekend long. Visitors were excited about the amazing performances and the incredible showcase of top bikes, ATVs and scooters for 2014.”

Produced by Power Sport Services, the 2014 Vancouver Motorcycle Show boasted an impressive line-up of manufacturers, including Aprilia, Arctic Cat, BMW Motorrad, Can-Am BRP, Deeley Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Honda, Husaberg, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, KTM, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio, Polaris, Suzuki, Triumph, Vespa, Victory and Yamaha.
