MONCTON, NB. – The Motorcycle & ATV Show – Moncton, Atlantic Canada’s premier Motorcycle & ATV Show returned to the Moncton Coliseum February 13-15, 2015. For the third year in a row, the show was faced with extreme weather conditions, forcing The Motorcycle Show – Moncton to close its doors on Sunday, February 15. In the first two days, prior to the Sunday closure, over 7,300 enthusiasts packed into the show to check out 100s of new bikes, ATVs and Side-by-Sides, all conveniently located under one roof.
The show opened on Friday with “She Rides Nite”, sponsored by Panago Pizza, who handed out free pizza samples and offered half price tickets and prizing for the ladies. New this year was our “Social Media Wall”. Throughout the facility there were monitors displaying posted Instagram photos and Twitter. The Social Media Wall was also used as a platform to enter to win “She Rides Nite” prizes and daily prizing over the weekend.
The always-popular Yamaha Riding Academy returned in 2015, allowing children ages 6 to 12 a chance to test out a Yamaha TT-R off-road motorcycle. The ATAQ brought the Belanger Family to demonstrate Trials techniques on both Motorcycles and bicycles, which drew large crowds several times a day.
Clinton Smout’s “How To” Seminars with instructions on rider safety and obstacle maneuvering was also demonstrated daily with very positive comments both on the floor and through social media.
“Despite the weather conditions “The Motorcycle & ATV Show – Moncton, was a success.” said Show Manager Neil Fardy. “We had good crowds on both Friday and Saturday and our fingers were crossed that the incoming storm would hold off for Sunday but the weather man’s predictions proved to be true.” Fardy added, “People let us know that it was nice to see such a strong OEM and dealer presence at the show. The public came to see the new lines of bikes, ATV’s, Scooters and ATVs as well as to take in the scheduled feature performances and they certainly weren’t disappointed”.
