CALGARY, AB (December 17, 2015) – The Motorcycle Show – Calgary presented by Dalton Timmis Insurance will roar into town on January 8th, 2016 and run through until 5:00 on January 10th at the BMO Centre, Stampede Park. This premiere industry event will feature the brand new line-up of 2016 motorcycles, ATVs and scooters.
This is the only opportunity for local riders to compare all the different makes and models from all the major manufacturers. Riding enthusiasts can also check out the latest in gear, accessories, touring destinations, as well as clubs and associations.
“The MX Freestyle Show has always been a crowd favorite, and this year we are turning it up a notch by adding a second ramp and a sled to the action” says Show Manager, Laurie Paetz, “Don’t miss all the edge of your seat action at the Motor Madness and Mayhem Show in the Corral, it is great entertainment for the whole family.”
Lead by Keith Sayers, the team of Freestylers that will be performing at the Motor Madness and Mayhem Show is impressive including Canadians Craig Latimer and Billy Kohut as well as Nick Dunne, and Heath Frisby. These talented riders will thrill audiences with tricks like the Kiss of Death, Tsunami and Captain Morgan, flying over 10 meters in the air. The smell of burning rubber will waft through the air as Craig treats the audience to street stunts including burnouts and wheelies. Check the website for Show times.
SHE Rides Nite takes place on Friday, January 8th, when after 5:00 pm all ladies get into the Show for half price. Check out the riding clubs, training schools and apparel exhibitors for women, and stop by the Torch Motorcycles Revv-olution booth, they are making some incredible in roads with regard to women’s riding gear and custom handlebars and seats designed just for women. The SHE Rides evening will wrap up with five lucky ladies qualifying to win a 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 300. The Kawasaki Ninja is inspired by the supersport line and provides riders with a thrilling and agile ride powered by a compact yet potent engine, its nimble handling and balanced suspension offer a silky-smooth ride, irresistible to experience track riders as well as novice road riders looking to sharpen their skills.
The Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Club’s display is always a big hit with the true motorcycle aficionados. This year the exhibit will focus on handbuilts and customs, some older than 70 years. Club members will be on hand to chat about the building process and share their passion with interested show goers.
As many parents know, when introducing your child to a new skill it is better left up to the professionals. The Yamaha Riding Academy is a unique opportunity to introduced kids between the ages of 6 to 12 years old to off road riding. The sessions are lead by qualified instructors and will provide new riders will all the basics of off road riding. Participants will not only receive safety instructions and skills training but they will have the opportunity to gear up and hone their skills on the supervised indoor track.
